Medicare rebates and referrals
Under Medicare you may recieve a substantial rebate. Rebates are only possible with a referral from a GP or psychiatrist. Please see your doctor about eligibility for a Mental Health Care Plan and referral. Make sure you bring the treatment plan and referral to your first appointment if you wish to claim Medicare rebates. Alternatively, your doctor can email the documents to my clinic.
You do not necessarily need a referral from your GP; you may choose to book with us directly. Depending on your private health fund, you may be able to access private health rebates. Please check with your fund.
Rates and payment
Equinox provides services linked to several types of funding, including Medicare, private health insurance, NDIS, Employee Assistance Programs, and self-funded. Please contact us for information on current fees. Payment is due in full at the time of consultation via direct debit, cash or credit card. If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, we will process that for you.
Before your visit
Before your first appointment you will receive and complete initial forms electronically. Software used supports both remote and in-person sessions and is APP compliant.
Confidentiality
The privacy of clinical work is vitally important. Confidentiality is maintained except as required by law. More information will be included in your information pack.
Crisis support and help lines
My practice is not a crisis clinic. Any mental health emergency will be referred
to SA Mental Health Triage Service on 13 14 65.
